YMAN Talent Show:
Official Rules

1. Eligibility

Participants must be 18 years or older.
Solo acts and group acts are allowed.
Each participant/group may perform one act only.
All performers must complete registration before the deadline.

2. Performance Guidelines

Each act must be 3–7 minutes long.
Acts exceeding the time limit may be stopped or penalized.
Performances may include (but are not limited to):

• Singing • Dancing • Comedy • Magic • Spoken word • Instrumental music • Variety acts

3. Content Standards

Content must not include: • Hate speech • Illegal activity • Non-consensual or exploitative themes • Dangerous stunts without prior approval • Mature humor is allowed if appropriate for the audience and venue.

Organizers reserve the right to request edits to material.

4. Music & Technical Requirements

Music must be submitted in advance (MP3 format preferred).
Performers must provide a detailed tech request (microphones, instruments, props).
No open flames, live animals, or hazardous materials without written approval.
Setup and breakdown must be completed within assigned time.

5. Judging Criteria

Performances will be scored based on:

🎤 Stage Presence & Confidence (20%)
🎨 Creativity & Originality (20%)
👏 Audience Engagement (10%)
⏱ Adherence to Time & Rules (10%)
• Judges’ decisions are final.

6. Scoring & Awards

Each judge scores independently. Scores are averaged to determine winners. In case of a tie, judges will deliberate.

Awards may include:
1st Place • 2nd Place • 3rd Place
Audience Choice

7. Conduct & Professionalism

Performers must behave respectfully backstage and on stage.
Harassment, intoxication affecting performance, or disruptive behavior may result in disqualification. All participants must follow venue rules.

8. Liability & Media Release

Participants perform at their own risk. Organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. The event may be photographed or recorded for promotional use.

9. Rehearsals

Attendance at the scheduled rehearsal (if required) is strongly encouraged or mandatory. Technical run-through times will be assigned.

10. General Provisions

Organizers reserve the right to:
• Adjust scheduling
• Modify rules if necessary
• Disqualify acts that violate guidelines
